Doctors Administrative Solutions Granted Qualified EHR Vendor Status by Florida REC
TAMPA, Fla. – (March 22, 2011) – Doctors Administrative Solutions (DAS) announced today that it has been named a qualified electronic health record (EHR) vendor by the Paperfree Florida Collaborative, a regional extension center (REC) established to assist Florida healthcare providers in the selection and meaningful use of health IT systems.
To achieve qualified vendor status, DAS completed a rigorous evaluation process during which Paperfree Florida verified the company’s certifications, client base, price structure, implementation timelines and track record, and technical and service-related offerings.
“With a growing number of EHRs available for physician practices, selecting the correct vendor and software system has become increasingly difficult for providers, especially with limited resources available to dedicate to the task,” said DAS CEO David Schlaifer. “As a REC-qualified vendor, practices can be assured that Aprima software, offered by DAS, is fully certified and backed by a trusted organization.”
DAS works exclusively with Aprima™ Medical Software to implement its industry leading EHR and practice management (PM) solution, which holds ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification as a Complete EHR*, in physician practices in West Central Florida. The company takes a partnership approach to each client, including assigning a dedicated implementation team to work with the practice to ensure that the system is personalized to each user’s workflow. This includes gaining an understanding of and customizing for each physician’s charting preferences and typical practice patterns.
DAS manages any necessary conversions and helps set up the new system so that claims can be electronically and compliantly transmitted to payers. Also provided are comprehensive on-site training before, during and after implementation, as well as ongoing support and unlimited upgrades.
“We are pleased that Paperfree Florida recognized the high quality services and solutions that DAS delivers to its physician practices,” said Schlaifer. “While this recognition is an honor for us, it is a much more important consideration for practices seeking to ease the pressures of the decision making process and ensure they select the best EHR solution for their needs.”
