Just Associates CEO Beth Just Appointed to The College of St. Scholastica Board of Trustees
CENTENNIAL, Colo. – June 2, 2010 – Beth Just, CEO and President, Just Associates, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in data integrity and data quality solutions for the Health Information Exchange, Health Information Management (HIM), Health Informatics and Health Information Technology markets, has been appointed to The College of St. Scholastica Board of Trustees.
Located in Duluth, Minn., St. Scholastica was the first college in the nation to grant a bachelor's degree in HIM. Its program is considered one of the best in the nation and has been accredited for more than 50 years. It counts among its graduates many of the most influential members of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and the HIM profession as a whole – including Just.
“As a graduate of St. Scholastica and a successful businessperson who is well-connected to the national leadership of the HIM profession, Beth brings invaluable experience to St. Scholastica,” said Dr. Larry Goodwin, President, The College of St. Scholastica. “Her guidance will be particularly valuable in terms of our health informatics and information management programs, which we consider to be among our school’s key strengths.”
Just’s background in healthcare spans more than 30 years, including 20 years of health information systems and HIM consulting. She founded Just Associates in 2002, leveraging her unique blend of HIM and information systems experience to provide expert consultation services to healthcare organizations and vendors. She is highly regarded as an industry leader, sharing her expertise with professional organizations and as a regular contributor to leading professional publications.

Just sits on the AHIMA Board of Directors and is past co-chair of the Health Information Exchange Practice Council. She is a member of AHIMA’s “HIM Principles in HIE” and “Patient Identification in RHIOs” workgroups and was recognized as a Colorado Health Information Management Association “Distinguished Member.” Just is also an active member of the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and serves on the Patient Identity Integrity workgroup of the HIMSS Privacy and Security Committee.
She has held executive positions with leading healthcare organizations, including Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center, QuadraMed, Pyramid Health Group, New Era of Networks and Quality Visions, Inc.
