MedHOK Appoints Chief Quality and Compliance Officer

TAMPA, Fla. – March 28, 2013 – MedHOK, which delivers industry leading actionable healthcare solutions for care, quality and compliance across an integrated cloud-based platform, has appointed Lisa Slattery, PT, CPHQ, as the chief quality and compliance officer. In this role, Slattery will provide MedHOK clients with the knowledge and expertise they need to ensure compliance with healthcare reform timelines and requirements and ensure the regulatory compliance of all MedHOK modules.

Prior to joining MedHOK, Slattery served as the senior vice president of quality and chief quality officer for Health First, Inc. and Health First Health Plans, where she was a key driver in the system-wide vision, strategy and programming to ensure patient-focused, integrated quality care across the healthcare continuum. Previous positions with Health First Health Plans include vice president of quality and integrated care, director of quality and accreditation, accreditation administrator and rehab services coordinator. Slattery has also served as the supervisor of rehab services for Health First Palm Bay Hospital and wound care specialist and physical therapist for Health First Holmes Regional Medical Center.

She received her bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry from North Carolina State University, her bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida and her Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification from Villanova University. Slattery has served as a board member of the East Central Florida Health Council and a member of the board and clinical advisory board for the Memory Disorder Clinic. She is currently a member of the National Association for Healthcare Quality and the American Physical Therapy Association.
