Tapestry Senior Housing Management Selects Healthsense as Remote Monitoring Technology Partner
Mendota Heights, Minn. – July 9, 2014 – Healthsense,® Inc., the fastest growing provider of technology-enabled care solutions for the senior care continuum, announced today that Tapestry Senior Housing Management, LLC will deploy its Healthsense eNeighbor® remote monitoring platform within the organization’s senior living communities in Florida and Arizona.
Minneapolis-based Tapestry, directing a portfolio surpassing $100 million, provides a full continuum of senior care services focused on the private pay market, including assisted living, memory care, adult day care and physical and occupational therapy communities.
With communities in Minnesota and North Dakota, Tapestry recently made public its plans to expand into Arizona, Texas, and Florida. The firm has selected Healthsense to help further its mission of providing better cost of care through the reuse of existing buildings to assisted living and memory care communities, which is a more affordable alternative to new construction.
“Healthsense’s eNeighbor remote monitoring capabilities will enable us to provide better care by proactively managing and anticipating residents’ needs. This will also allow for better communication with family members and loved ones regarding residents’ health and well-being,” said Tom LaSalle, President, Tapestry Senior Housing Management. “Healthsense was the obvious choice to provide remote monitoring services. Not only is their technology far ahead of anything else on the market, but as a company they share our dedication to excellence of service to our residents. Healthsense is an essential part of our mission to provide the most cost-effective care possible for our seniors.”
The Healthsense eNeighbor platform will be deployed first at Tapestry Tallahassee, a 149-unit assisted living care and memory care community, where it will allow for high quality care and outcomes by using state-of-the-art technology and analytics to monitor and measure residents’ every day health. By passively monitoring Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), timely information is delivered regarding each resident’s wellbeing, enabling better care management decisions. By alerting caregivers early and often of the overall health of residents, exacerbation of chronic conditions or other health concerns can be detected earlier, allowing for more timely interventions and avoidance of higher acuity care.
“We are excited Tapestry has selected Healthsense eNeighbor to improve the quality of care provided to its residents,” said Healthsense President and CEO, A.R. Weiler. “Tapestry’s focus on adaptive reuse in conjunction with new construction memory care is particularly well-suited to the scalable Healthsense platform, which integrates easily into both existing and new structures and allows senior living communities to keep pace with residents’ changing needs.”
